Best Place to get coupons for online shopping

December 4th, 2007 by Pankaj

There are thousands of that provides coupons for online shopping. These sites provide you discount coupons code which can save you some good money on your online shopping.

But I found Coupon Chief is best among them. They really provide some great discount coupons. Like, they offer a coupon which can save you $200 on purchase of Dell Inspiron notebook or $200 Off on Sony VAIO SZ, TZ and FZ Notebooks.

They have discount coupons on almost all type of products, from computer and software to Kitchen tool. To get a coupon for you choice of product just click on the category menu which is in left column of the site. For example if you are looking for discount coupon for diamond earrings then select jewelry from the menu, a list of all available coupons will be shown.

How to choose a host for business or personal website hosting

November 28th, 2007 by Pankaj

Before choosing a host for your business website hosting or personal website hosting, you should check the following thing:

  • Uptime: How much uptime they offer. More they offer, more better they are. They may show incorrect stats, check it at WebHostingStuff.com.
  • Script/Software compatibility: Is the hosting is compatible with the script or software that you want to use for your website.

  • Disk space/Bandwidth: Check if the disk space or bandwidth is enough for your script and traffic or not.
  • Support: Do they provide 24 X 7 support or not? How quick they are? Before ordering a plan for your business website hosting or personal website hosting you should ask above three questions. Only proceed further if you are satisfied with their reply.

Importance of Computer Training

November 21st, 2007 by Pankaj

Buying a computer and being able to write in notepad or MSWord, or learning how to read and write emails and browsing websites, people thinks they knows enough about computer. These types of people are the victims of spam email, fishing because they don’t too much about security and other minimum knowledge that a computer user should know. They must take a basic computer courses from a well know computer training institute.

If you run a business then to run your business smoothly, happily and efficiently, you must take leadership training.

Flash Animation or Normal Image??

November 17th, 2007 by Pankaj

Like most people, I also like those eye caching flash animations. But unfortunately search engines are not smart enough to read those .swf files.

Recently I found an article at icontact community about SEM Strategies and fond this:

….. you may see many of them remove that cool-looking piece of media. Not because they’re finally getting over their brand arrogance, but because many search engines won’t read past the .swf extension in the source code.

So, using a plain image (gif/jpeg/png) with keyword in name and in alt tag is far better then using swf. This will also help to drive traffic from search engines for image search.

Normally, swf files file size are much bigger then normal images, which takes more space and eat lots of bandwidth. So, plain image can also save your bandwidth.

Top 10 web directories

September 23rd, 2007 by Pankaj

Web directories can be powerful in helping ranking in the search engines but be wary as there are many to choose from. They are literally thousands of web directories out there but only a few carry real weight in Google. Going for the cheaper options for your sites will probably not bring the result you would wish over the long term.

I would always emphasise the phrase ‘quality over quantity’ for any SEO campaign.

My favourite top 10 directories are:

  1. Yahoo Directory: US$299.00 non-refundable annual fee. Many categories are very, so be careful where you submit.
  2. Business.com: $199/year price. Pr 7 has over 65,000 categories. It is a very powerful directory- one of the few directories that actually might send you traffic.
  3. BOTW: $79.95 annually recurring review fee. $239.95 one-time review fee.
  4. Skaffe.com: $44.99 fee. Permanent. Quality trusted directory. Have many crowded categories so try to find a less congested place to submit your link.
  5. Goguides.org: $69.95 Again categories can be very crowded.
  6. Massivelinks.com: $24.99 also has a basic plus listing that offer 5 more deep links
  7. Joeant.com: $39.99 ( free for editors)
  8. STPT: PR7 web directory. Expensive at $99 per year however likely to carry weight in Google.
  9. Alive Directory: Offers permanent and yearly listing offers. For regular/ yearly the price is $49.95 per year and permanent $149.95.
  10. Aviva Directory: It not just offers quality links but also has plenty of good quality content. Regular links are $49.99 per year.
